Formed from soldiers across the sovereign worlds of Crassus, Klhoheer, and Larius, the Central Guard is built upon discipline, coordination, and the belief that no protectorate stands alone.
Where other armies seek rapid breakthroughs or overwhelming force, the Central Guard relies on preparation, controlled engagement, and the strength of a unified defense.
This starter force places you in command of a Central Guard detachment during the First Void War, built around a professional infantry core supported by mobile firepower and battlefield reconnaissance.

The Central Guard Fire Team forms the foundation of Protectorate military operations.
Unlike other Protectorates with irregular formations or specialized assault units, Central Guard soldiers are trained to operate as a single coordinated element. Every member understands their role, supports their squadmates, and contributes to the success of the mission.
A Central Guard Fire Team includes:
Squad Leader
4x Sotil Infantryman
Attached DMR Rifleman or Squad Gunner
The addition of specialized support personnel allows commanders to adapt their fire teams to the battlefield.
The DMR Rifleman provides precision fire and battlefield control, while the Squad Gunner delivers sustained suppression against advancing threats.
Together, they represent the Protectorate doctrine of flexibility within a disciplined structure.
DP-33 “Kettu” JLTV
“A shield that moves.”
The DP-33 Kettu provides Central Guard formations with protected mobility and battlefield support.
Designed to operate alongside infantry units, the Kettu allows commanders to reinforce threatened positions, transport personnel, and maintain pressure across changing battlefields.
Rather than replacing infantry, the Kettu enhances them—bringing additional protection, communication capability, and fire support where it is needed most.
The Central Guard does not fight as isolated units.
Every vehicle, squad, and soldier exists as part of a larger defensive network.
Central Guard Scout Sniper Team

Before the main line makes contact, Central Guard Scout Snipers provide critical reconnaissance and precision fire support.
Operating ahead of friendly formations, Scout Sniper Teams identify enemy movements, disrupt key targets, and provide commanders with the information needed to make decisive decisions.
Their mission is not simply elimination.
It is battlefield control.
By shaping where and when the enemy can move, Scout Snipers allow Central Guard formations to dictate the pace of the engagement.
